All of our flys are handmade, to your order, one at a time. You will not find mass produced flys from overseas on our web site. We strive to provide you some of the most well made flys available, while also being highly
competitive price wise.
Hair-N-Hooks isn't just a fly fishing shop. We also offer dressed siwashes, from a basic white bucktail, to life-like "fish tail" style hooks. In fact, we have recently begun providing our tying services to J.N-Ski Custom Plugs! .
Besides tied products, we offer bunker snags, bucktails, and Kayak Carls Trolling Tubes, one of the most deadly lures when fished from the kayak. In addition, we have custom writing pens available, as well as some astonishing photography for sale.

At Hair-N-Hooks we strive to use only the best materials. We are constantly testing out new materials and tweaking our patterns to produce the best fly possible. All of our hooks used are Mustad, stainless steel hooks. Mustad is now producing chemically sharpened hooks, and we have already begun using them on our flys we sell. For dressed tailhooks we use only VMC hooks.

Custom Orders:
Custom Orders are always welcome, however we have a few requirements pertaining to
them. (Custom orders are for patterns not shown for sale on our website, you can always email us at
sales@Hair-N-Hooks.com after placing an order if you wish for SLIGHT modifications to patterns shown.)
-Custom Flys require a minimum order of five of the same pattern.
-Prior to making the flys, you will be given a quote for the price and turnaround time for your custom order. This quote is valid for ten days.
-You will be asked to provide either a prototype fly to go off of, or detailed
pictures (either printed or electronic)
-Hair-N-Hooks.com is not responsible for any damage or loss in transit of said materials or prototypes.
-You may be asked to provide a deposit for the order PRIOR to it being started. If you cancel on your order after placing a deposit, Hair-N-Hooks.com reserves the right to retain your deposit if materials were already ordered/obtained.

Our standard shipping service is with the United States Postal Service (USPS), flat rate Priority Mail. Shipping is a flat $5.99 on all orders unless otherwise noted. USPS Flat Rate priority mail typically arrives within 3 days of shipment. We DO NOT ship outside of the United States. If you require special shipping methods, please contact us at

Customer Satisfaction:
If you are not satisfied with your purchase or your service, we will do everything REASONABLY possible to rectify the situation. However, you need to tell us that there is a problem. Becoming displeased, not informing us, and then saying negative things about us won't accomplish anything. Trust us, we want to make sure you are happy. Questions comments or concerns should be addressed to info@Hair-N-Hooks.com. Please also remember that 99% of the time, your orders are custom made, and there is
typically (but not always) a 2-4 day turnaround BEFORE entering the USPS shipping system. If you need your flys in an absolute rush, email us at sales@Hair-N-Hooks.com after placing your order. Please keep this turnaround time in mind when placing your orders. Habitual abusers of requesting "rush" orders may be charged handling
fees. (i.e. once or twice is fine, but do it every order and you will have to pay extra). From the time you place your order, out 24 hours, you may cancel your order
for IN STOCK items, for a 15% fee. This is because we typically
ship in stock items within 12 hours of receiving your order. After 24 hours, if we have not been emailed at sales@Hair-N-Hooks.com, you will not be credited for a cancelled order and you will be charged for and sent the flys you ordered. We regret having to have this policy, but since our orders are custom
tied (see above), we can't be starting orders and then having them canceled 3 days later. However, if after 24 hours you wish to cancel an order, you may still send us an email ASKING if your order can be canceled. If for some reason we have not started your order, it will be cancelled at no fee. If the order has been partially filled already when you request a cancellation, you will be billed for the completed work, shipping to you for the completed work, and the 15% cancellation fee.
If you do not see a pattern listed and would like some pricing, please see "custom orders" above.
If you wish to have SLIGHT (minor color changes, etc) changes to patterns listed for sale on our site, please indicate so in the comments section when ordering said fly. If your requested changes require additional charges for some
reason (requesting different hooks or materials for example) we will email you a quote and await your approval before starting your order.
Return Policy:
Returns on normally ordered flys may only be made within 10 days of receiving them.
For returns on any merchandise, YOU MUST FIRST RECEIVE A RETURN MERCHANDISE
AUTHORIZATION (RMA) CODE by emailing sales@Hair-N-Hooks.com, and requesting
an RMA, before you return your order. Approved returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee, and your shipping costs will NOT be refunded. We are not responsible if your items are lost in transit coming back to us, so it is recommended you use a service that provides tracking numbers. There are absolutely no returns on custom
tied items (flys, teasers, and bucktails), photographs, and writing pens..
Any used items may not be returned. We will not accept COD postage on
returns. A copy of your original invoice must be enclosed with any returns.
If all requirements are met for a return, you will be credited the amount of
your merchandise returned, less shipping and handling from your original
order within 10 days of our receipt of the merchandise.
Privacy Notice:
Hair-N-Hooks.com will never rent, sell, or otherwise distribute your personal information. Ever.
Accuracy of information:
While we here at Hair-N-Hooks try to maintain a high level of accuracy we are not responsible for typos, mistakes, and all manner of errors on the website. If you find an error please contact us and we'll be sure to reward you somehow.
